"Simpang, Ngajeng, Kenaan"
Come on in, Eat, Enjoy

A warung in Bali is a casual place to eat. Everybody visits a warung at least once a day for meals or snacks. There is no tradition of fine dining, but feasting and sharing food is mandatory as integral to all those colourful ceremonies for which Bali is so famous.

We opened our warung in West Melbourne in January 1989. This family business has developed an intergenerational and multicultural following, a place where people come to discuss food and Bali, practice their Indonesian and Balinese language skills and most importantly enjoy a beautiful meal.

We offer delectable and refined Balinese flavours, prepared by Balinese chef and partner Agus. He personally sources his produce fresh daily from the nearby Victoria Market.

Homemade sambals accompany the freshly cooked dishes that include babi guling(roast pork),ayam bekakak (butterfly chicken) and toge (Balinese gado-gado). These dishes all featured at the 2010 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Hawker’s Market and sold out every night!

We offer à la carte as well as a selection of tasting and banquet menus. Group functions are welcome. We can cater for all food needs particularly vegetarian and vegan, allergies and intolerances and of course for those who are able to eat anything!
